Digital Signage Content Strategies Book Launches at Digital Signage Expo

Keith Kelsen has published a book on digital signage content, "Unleashing the Power of Digital Signage"
Kelsen will be signing copies of Unleashing the Power of Digital Signage at the Digital Signage Expo to celebrate the book's official launch.

Focal Press, a division of Elsevier, has announced the official launch of Keith Kelsen’s book Unleashing the Power of Digital Signage at the Digital Signage Expo (DSE) in Las Vegas, Feb. 23-25, 2010.

As a leading expert and speaker, Kelsen is sought after for digital signage industry events and plays an active industry role in evangelizing, educating and enhancing the global market for digital signage solutions and networks. He is Chair of the Content Best Practices Committee for the international Digital Signage Association, for which he directs a team representing industry-leading companies to improve the understanding and use of the powerful and influential medium of digital signage.

According to the publisher, Kelsen wrote this book help to help those interested in the creation and application of digital signage content understand the relative merits of the three different digital signage network opportunities, including point of sale (POS), point of transit (POT) and point of wait (POW). The book delves into what the message attributes for each are, how to measure the program’s effectiveness and how to strike a balance that uses these effectively alongside the other advertising program elements.

Among the other key areas the book covers are the following how-to’s:

  • Develop a strategy and methodology for creating cross platform content including mobile.
  • Employ a return on message control that measures 7 key index factors to optimize digital signage results.
  • Leverage existing traditional assets, TV PC, print and mobile to create powerful content for digital signage.
  • Use real-world creative content deployments featured on the companion Web site to inform your own work.

The companion Web site features real-world implementations and video blog programming that includes interviews with industry notables.

Kelsen is the founder of MediaTile and chairman and CEO of 5thScreen, a company that will deliver a substantial uplift to deployments by concentrating on the critical elements for success. Recently, he was named as one of the “Top 5 Executives to Watch in 2010” by DigitalSignageToday.com.

Kelsen will be signing copies of Unleashing the Power of Digital Signage at the Digital Signage Expo Booth #1937 from 2:30-3:00 p.m. and at MediaTile’s Booth #1427 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on February 24 and 25. He also will be doing a presentation on digital signage content as part of DSE 2010’s free on-floor workshop program.
