STRATACACHE, a provider of scalable, high-performance digital signage, content distribution and enterprise video acceleration technologies, has announced plans to invest $2 million in the purchase and renovation of a dormant ‘big box’ retail site in Huber Heights, Ohio.
This 50,000-square-foot facility will provide a new base of operations for STRATACACHE’s current production center staff and also serve as a configuration/staging site to house its digital media systems production operations.
“When considering a new location for this expansion, STRATACACHE chose Huber Heights, as it stood out favorably for the economic, cultural and professional aspects provided by the region. Its proximity to our headquarters and key operational staff also made it a good fit,” said Chris Riegel, CEO of the Dayton, Ohio-based company.
STRATACACHE said it will move production operations from its current facility located on E. Third St. in Dayton into the Huber Heights facility by Nov. 1, 2010. The new site — with approximately five times the amount of space of the current production facility — will satisfy the company’s growth requirements. In addition, the company anticipates hiring 8 to 10 new employees for this location during the next 18 months.
According to the company, this new facility will allow the company to increase digital media player production and configuration from 50,000 to 250,000+ units per year.
